Cynthia Chiong leads YouthTruth’s research and insights work. She brings expertise in data storytelling and research, helping schools and organizations listen to young people, understand what’s working, and make more informed decisions for students. Her prior work spans a range of mission-driven organizations including SchoolAI, 826 National, and Sesame Workshop where she has published research reports and amplified youth voices. She has also worked with the Exploratorium and Apple Education to bring research-based learning experiences to diverse communities.
Cynthia holds a B.A. in psychology and sociology from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Virginia. Outside of work, she loves things that are oddly small or big, county fairs, noodle soups, and robots—but of the Wall-E variety, not the Terminator kind.
