Valerie Chavez Rule, Senior Analyst, assesses student feedback and assists in survey and report production at YouthTruth.

Prior to joining YouthTruth in 2021, Valerie worked as a Research Associate at the School of Education at Mills College and assisted on projects related to teachers’ professional development in STEM education. She also served as an AmeriCorps Fellow in east Oakland, where she provided small group math intervention to middle school students. Valerie graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics & Statistics, a second degree in Writing Seminars, and a minor in Physics.

In her free time, Valerie enjoys hiking, playing music, and painting.
