I’m thrilled to announce that the Giving Done Right podcast is returning for another season! This summer, CEP’s president Phil Buchanan and I have been busy in the recording studio, and we’ll be bringing you 16 new episodes featuring inspirational donors and courageous nonprofit leaders and experts.

We launched this podcast in 2020 with the goal of helping donors become smarter and more effective in their giving. It’s grown since then, not only reaching the top two percent of podcast downloads globally according to Listen Notes, but also becoming a valuable resource (we’re told!) for those who recognize that being an effective giver has its unique challenges.

In addition to conversations about effective giving, we delve into the moving stories of particularly thoughtful givers and nonprofit leaders, offering a place for listeners to learn and draw inspiration for their own giving.

This season, we’ll be tackling these topics together with our guests (among many others):

  • What part can donors play in confronting climate change?
  • Do direct cash transfers to the poor work in the U.S. as well as internationally?
  • How can families navigate interpersonal dynamics as they pursue their philanthropic goals?
  • Is there a role that philanthropy should play in ensuring an equitable future with AI?
  • Apart from political giving, how can donors support democracy?
  • How can donors identify strong nonprofit leaders and ensure a robust talent pipeline in the nonprofit sector?
  • Do donors have to choose between giving to frontline relief or addressing root causes and system change?
  • What can donors do to support an aging population and ensure everyone can age with dignity?

To give you a sneak peek at our guest lineup, this season we spoke to: author and climate scientist Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Ford Foundation President Darren Walker, Jeff and Tricia Raikes of the Raikes Family Foundation, Vivian Long of the Long Family Foundation, Eric Liu of Citizen University, former U.S. Cabinet Secretary Julián Castro, and so many more.

We hope you’ll subscribe on your favorite podcast platform, and join us each week this fall and winter, starting Sept. 19. As we kick off season four, our goal remains to support all types of givers in enhancing their effectiveness and discovering the joy in their generosity.

P.S. You can still catch up on seasons one, two, and three!
