As nonprofits face historic challenges under the current federal administration, data collected last fall from the Center for Effective Philanthropy reveals that nonprofit organizations are concerned about their ability to continue to operate and are asking for greater support from their funders. In CEP’s new report, “A Sector in Crisis: How U.S. Foundations and Nonprofits Are Responding to Threats,” nearly 70% of nonprofit leaders report experiencing funding cuts, while, simultaneously, 65% report experiencing greater demand for their services.
