Former position at CEP
Senior Accounting and Operations Coordinator

Length of tenure at CEP
4.5 years

What are you up to these days?
I’m currently working as a finance associate at The Michael J. Fox Foundation in New York City.

How did your time at CEP prepare you for what you’re doing now?
Being at a smaller organization like CEP gave me the opportunity to work on a variety of projects not just related to finance. This allowed me to learn the various aspects of running a nonprofit organization, which increased my passion for the sector and increased my desire to work in the finance department of a major foundation.

What did you do between your time at CEP and your current role?
After leaving CEP, I moved to Ohio to attend graduate school at The Ohio State University. After graduating with my master’s degree in finance in 2014, I accepted a job offer from MJFF.

What do you miss most about working at CEP?
I miss the culture at CEP and cherish the connections and friendships I made while working there.

What advice would you give someone about working at CEP?
Take advantage of being at a small organization by taking opportunities to work cross-departmentally when given the chance.
