Former Position at CEP
Research Manager

Length of tenure at CEP
4 years

What are you up to these days?
I’m taking a break from research work to be at home with my son. I also volunteer at church and occasionally take staff photos for CEP!

How did your time at CEP prepare you for what you are doing now?
My time at CEP gave me confidence to “learn on the job” when approaching new situations and showed me how important it is to surround myself with people I can learn from and genuinely enjoy. Both continue to be important as a new parent.

What do you miss most about working at CEP?
I miss the serious and not-so-serious conversations I could have with colleagues. The people are the best part of CEP.

What advice would you give someone about working at CEP?
Try to provide more help to your colleagues than what’s expected. Also, eat in the lunch room as much as possible!

Describe your perfect Sunday.
It would definitely include sleeping in past 7am and breakfast at a diner. I might also go on a short hike with friends before eating more delicious food to round out the day.
