Serina Gousby

Coordinator, Programming & External Relations

Serina supports the Programming and External Relations team’s processes, administrative needs, and external communication efforts as a coordinator. 

Prior to joining CEP in February 2025, Serina led the Boston Writers of Color program at GrubStreet. She also gained experience in nonprofit development, event planning, entrepreneurship, and community engagement and has received a certificate in Community Leadership and Social Change from the Institute of Nonprofit Practice as a part of their Community Fellows Program with Tufts University.  

Serina holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Black Studies from Suffolk University and served several years as a member and events chair of Suffolk University’s alumni council, Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD).  

Outside of work, Serina is a calligrapher, digital artist, and writer, and her work has been featured in Cambridge Arts’ Open Studios, Boston Poetry Marathon, Pangyrus Literary Magazine, and Mass Black Expo. In her free time, she can be found attending concerts, visiting independent bookstores, or spending time with family and friends.
